Ralph's Great Divide: Discover Indianapolis' Premier Dive Bar Experience

Pretty neat spot. The soup was good just lots of cheese , a little too much for me and I'm a cheese lover. I got the hog pot with cheese and bacon and half a Turkey sandwich. They accommodated things just how I wanted them prepared with no problem. Drinks are also pretty strong with a decent beer selection.

Highlight of my day finding this dive. Cute and cozy with wonderful staff and service. The loaded potato soup and ham Sammy def blew my skirt up!

I’ve been inside before but never ate here until today. Wide range of tasty dishes and lots of comfort foods. Leave room for chocolate cake after eating. Enough room for small gatherings….did I mention that the desserts are homemade ( with a sprinkle of love , I bet). The blueberry cobbler is the only dessert not homemade but tastes oh so delicious. Oh and ice cream is definitely available for the chocolate cake! I ordered the Great Divide club with cottage cheese ( with chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert). Yes for the warm weather, there is outdoor seating. When the weather is nice, like today( March 13th),the area fills up quickly. Danielle is a peach as a person and a whiz with the tables!! Just extra special and nice ( as are all of the staff that I interacted with). The owner works … well she does just about everything . Jennifer is camera shy and wants her staff to receive the credit for the incredible place the Great Divide truly is. Yeah I’m stuffed from my meal . Surprise! Cake and ice cream going home.

We flew in from Eugene today (Go Ducks) and this was one of our first stops. Fantastic chili, drinks and company. Huge shout out to Leah for taking the time to make recommendations for us while we're in town. They took great care of us, can't recommend stopping in for a drink enough!

I have been waiting to go here for about a month. I finally was able to stop by today for a drink and apps. I was pleasantly surprised how good the place was. The waitress we had was great. We sat outside in the back and loved the atmosphere. We will be back!

First time visiting) and I have lived in Indy all my life. Sorry I never found it sooner). DELICIOUS food. The owner served us and talked to us about the history of the building ( has been around since the 1800's. Was once a livery, a speak easy, and a gas station). Very rustic, you can see the history in the place. Alot of home made food. Very good pies and desserts. Highly recommend.

Ralph’s Great Divide is hands down my favorite local spot for celebrating my sisters’ and my birthdays. The drinks are cheap and strong, and they keep the wine flowing! One of the highlights is always the piano player, who plays the best songs and is happy to play “Happy Birthday” multiple times throughout the night. I’ve been coming here for many years, ever since my grandmother was alive. She loved this place for its familiar, comforting food (things like Pea Salad) and the live piano music, and I love that it still carries that same charm. The restaurant recently had some renovations, but you might not even notice—the cozy, no-frills atmosphere remains the same. It’s a small place, making it even more fun in the summertime when you can sit outside on the patio. Don’t expect anything super fancy, but you will be pleasantly surprised by how delicious and affordable the food is. They have rotating specials—some days it’s ribs, other days it’s steak—but one of the best additions is their gluten-free fried fish and tenderloins with gluten-free buns or bread! They also usually have a gluten-free dessert and are very accommodating to dietary needs. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or celebrating something special, Ralph’s Great Divide never disappoints. If you’re coming with a larger party, calling ahead is a good idea since it’s a small space, and they’ll definitely appreciate the heads-up. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful place to eat and hang with local Indy people. A lot of nostalgia here. The potato soup is fantastic! Dig the old school Q95 sign.
